2017 Annual Spring ORHCA Meeting

The annual joint meeting of the Old Rose Hill Cemetery Board and Association will be held Saturday April 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.. The meeting will be held at the Oskaloosa Public Library meeting room. All interested Association members are invited to attend and participate in the meeting. Association membership is defined as those owning burial plots in the Old Rose Hill Cemetery or the designated heir to the rights of those interred in the cemetery. Post Meeting Comments:

The annual joint meeting of the Old Rose Hill Cemetery Association and the Board of Directors was held as scheduled on April 15, 2017. The Secretary and Treasurer’s reports were reviewed and approved without exception. Ron and Carol Knoot were again retained to mow and trim the cemetery for the coming year and funds were approved to have the grounds sprayed for weeds. President Don Stout Sr. reported that the remaining trees along the south fence line had been removed over the winter and that the existing fence had to be removed in the process. Funds were approved to replace the fence. Only two trees remain in the cemetery fence lines and the board will be reviewing options to have them removed. Several maintenance issues were discussed and plans to address them were approved.
